Description

NOTE

Mini Kossel kits have now been discontinued, but you can still access the Mini Kossel Documentation on the Documentation tab of this listing. We still have a few parts for the Mini Kossel in stock, and these are listed on the components pages of this website..

NOTICE: 15 FEBRUARY 2018

We are now selling a limited number of Kossel XL+ kits with 3x the print volume of the Mini, plus Duet Wifi electronics, 0.9 degree stepper motors, Flex3Drive extruder and 24V power. Please email think3dprint3d@gmail.com if you are interested in ordering one of these kits.

The Specification for the Kossel XL+ is as follows:-

Our Kossel XL Plus kit is an upgraded version of the Kossel XL kit which we sold in limited quantities at the beginning of 2017. That kit in turn was essentially a larger version of our well-reviewed Mini Kossel Release 3 (MKR3) kit, with various improvements. The XL Plus we are now selling has a lot in common with David Crocker’s Precision Kossel, the biggest difference being that it doesn’t require users to work with mains voltage wiring. Principal features are-

  • Misumi 2040 tower extrusions 1m tall, 2060 frame base extrusions, one with a milled slot for access to the Duet Wifi or Duet Ethernet controller, and 2040 frame top extrusions.

  • Printbed 300mm dia. with 250W 24V silicone heater, 280mm dia. printable.

  • RobotDigg black metal corners and belt tensioners.

  • Duet3D.com Delta Smart effector and genuine E3D V6 hot end with custom heatsink for precise nozzle-contact level probing.

  • RobotDigg 440C stainless steel linear rails and carriages, with Duet3d.com PCB carriage adaptors.

  • Haydn Huntley’s precision-made magnetic-end diagonal rods with machined Delrin cups and chromed steel ball-studs.

  • 0.9 degree stepper motors for the 3 towers, with "Astrosyn”-type vibration dampers.

  • Weho 24V 400W PSU, pre-wired with printed safety enclosure - no need to work with mains voltages. Adoption of 24V reduces heater circuit currents and allows greater motor speeds.

  • Flex3Drive flexible shaft-driven extruder - eliminates filament compression in a Bowden tube and enables printing of flexible filaments.

  • Ultra-quiet Duet Wifi or Ethernet electronics with up to 256X microstepping and a powerful web interface. Firmware includes full autocalibration.

  • Duet3D.com PT100 daughterboard for Duet and E3D PT100 temperature probe for V6 hotend, for super-accurate hot end temperature control.

  • PanelDue colour touch-screen LCD controller with 5 “ screen for stand-alone printing without web control interface.

  • Fully-made-up wiring looms.

The standard kit with all the above features costs £995 plus shipping and 20% UK/EU VAT (if applicable)

Lead-times

We prepare these kits to order with an estimated lead-time of 3 weeks. Pleae email think3dprint3d@gmail.com to place an order.
